Inland navigation

R.B.C. Terminal has together with Cetem Containers two jetties for the actions of full- and empty (tank) containers through private water connections. Besides the regular barge line services, we also offer customized solutions within the European hinterland. Because of the flexible fleet with which the partners of R.B.C. Terminal are working we can offer different possibilities within the current network and beyond.

Some of the benefits are:

  • Reduction of CO2 emissions, in order to keep the earth livable R.B.C. Terminal works actively to reduce this.
  • Reduction of transport costs, by using R.B.C. Terminal  the rising costs are reduced, such as detention- and demurrage charges of containers on short and deep sea terminals, trucking kilometers, waiting hours and Maasvlakte surcharges.
  • Storage of the container within the European hinterland, near to the final consumer.
  • Repositioning of the empty container to a depot in Rotterdam (NL) without water connection, R.B.C. Terminal provides the end transport by truck
  • Relieving the short- and deep sea terminals in Rotterdam (NL) in relation to dangerous goods (ADR).
