Then this position is what you are looking for. As a Customer Service Representative at RBC, you will be the link between our terminal and our customers.

Customer Service Representative at RBC (32–40 hours).

What will you do?

In this versatile position you are the first point of contact for the customer and responsible for the total operational process. You take orders, process and distribute them (transport, barge, customs, heating & pumping) and monitor overviews of volumes and specific customer requirements.

Because we are a growing organization, you will also be given room to actively think along about processes and improvements. Your ideas and initiatives will contribute directly to our growth and professionalization.

  • Making (un)solicited adjustments and advising customers and suppliers;
  • Follow up on customer orders and provide status updates;
  • Ensure correct administration and billing;
  • Actively contribute to the market positioning of RBC and our sister companies;
  • Contribute to major (improvement) projects within the organization.

Job requirements

  • Completed education at MBO level, preferably in the field of transportation and/or logistics;
  • Diploma in assistant declarant or declarant is a plus;
  • Several years of work experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge regarding transportation of hazardous materials is a plus;
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • You are a team player and have a flexible attitude;
  • You are Proactive and Accurate;
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Excellent oral and written fluency in Dutch and English, proficiency in German is a plus.
  • You must be available for at least 32 hours (4 days, 8 hours per day)

Who we are:

RBC is a modern, multimodal container terminal in Rotterdam's Botlek area, specializing in the storage and handling of loaded ADR (tank) containers. We offer our customers safe and efficient solutions, including heating, customs inspections, and transit by truck or barge. With our Seveso permit for ADR/IMO storage and a strategic location on the water, we are a strong link in the logistics chain. We work with short lines of communication, a no-nonsense mentality, and a committed team.

In the same area, we cooperate with three companies, each handling a different aspect of the logistics chain. RCC focuses on the sale, rental and modification of containers. CETEM is an expert in the storage and inspection of empty containers and reefers, as well as in their maintenance and repair. RMI specializes in transporting liquid chemicals, food and feed by tank container, and serves customers throughout Europe. By joining forces, we can offer customers a complete and efficient service package, all at one location.
